Thai envoy Vuttisant calls on PM Koirala

KATHMANDU, April 17: Thai ambassador for Nepal Vutti Vuttisant paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at the latter's official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday morning.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Koirala and envoy Vuttisant discussed the cultural, economic and diplomatic ties between Nepal and Thailand.In the meeting PM Koirala said both Nepal and Thailand have been enjoying a very affable relationship since years which has been further emboldened by the frequent visits by Thai people to the birth place of Gautama Buddha.

Saying that democratic administrative system, peace and political stability are indispensable for a country's development, Koirala expressed his belief that Nepal is getting a democratic constitution soon.

On the occasion, envoy Vuttisant informed that the number of Thai tourists to Nepal is increasing day by day and shared that his country will get a new constitution at the end of this year.
