SOLUKHUMBU, Nov 3: Regular flights remain disrupted at the Tenzing-Hillary Airport here since three days due to dense fog and smog.

A large number of tourists who have returned after visiting the Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) region and trying to catch flights to Kathmandu and those who have planned visit to the region have been hit hard due to the disruption of flights.

It is said that as many as one thousand tourists are eagerly waiting for flights to resume. Even the helicopter companies have not been able to conduct flights due to the haze and fog. They are only operating limited flights.

The Tara Air which had planned to operate 32 flights on Saturday could not operate even a single one due to the fog. Other airlines companies are also unable to do so.
