JANAKPUR, July 13: A technical team of seven members led by engineer Yamuna Yadav has been trapped in floodwater. The team, which was assigned to monitor the postal highway, reached near the flooded Kamala River from where they could not move back due to the intense flow of water.
According to CDO of Dhanusha, Pradeep Raj Kandel, the team was trapped by the flood water that entered the villages after collapsing a dam nearby.
A helicopter was sent twice to airlift the team. However, due to the adverse weather foiled the effort. A team of Armed Police Force is deployed to rescue the team safely to Jayanagar in India by using a motorboat.
