Teacup in My Sight

alt=
By No Author
A teacup in my sight,
Wisps from it vaporize,
Like dancers in the air,
Tempting me to sip,
But I merely stare.Perhaps had there been
Two cups instead of one,
And someone to share the warmth with,
The tea inside would've been long gone.
But an eternal truth exists,
Alone have we entered the world,
And alone shall we leave,
Like the wisps that leave the tea,
In solitude we should believe.
As the tea awaits my sip,
The loneliness lengthens my stare,
But no longer can I bear...
Trading warmth with an icy chill,
Hopefully, the deeper the well of sorrow,
The more of joy can it fill...
