Tax net widening

POKHARA, April 14: Ten districts of Gandaki and Dhawalagiri zones under the ambit of Inland Revenue Office, Pokhara has witnessed increase in the number of tax contributors. 



There were 109,288 tax payers by mid-November last year while it has increased to 115,477 with addition of around 6,000 contributors during the past five months, shared Information Officer at the Inland Revenue Office, Bijaya Lamichhane.

The Office has attained 107 per cent of its target by collecting revenue of Rs 4.75 billion during the past nine months of the current fiscal year. 


The official target to raise revenue during the period was Rs 4.6 billion. RSS
