The moderator for the event was Tsering Rhitar Sherpa, Filmmaker and Founder of Mila Productions, along with speakers, Bhola Paswan, Dalit researcher and journalist, and Prashant Jha, political analyst.

The discussions included deep rooted issues of Madhes such as the inter community conflicts, citizenship issues, reservations and border relations.
Paswan was quick to point the three major problems that exist in Tarai which may lead to people’s movement.
“If the social matters of dowry, bonded labor, and witchcraft not taken care of, there may be harsh consequences,” said Paswan.
Jha, on the other hand, said, “The society there is regressive and a traditional stereotype still exists.”
He referred to the past tragic incidences of beating and murder of single women after being blamed of practicing witchcraft.
