KATHMANDU, March 29: The panel led by Tapendra Bahadur Shahi has emerged victorious at the Free Students Union (FSU) election held at the Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus.
The vote counting held till late Tuesday night showed Shahi garnered 699 votes to become the RR Campus' FSU President, Election Official Hari Parajuli said.
His closest contender Nepal Student Union's Uttam Bahadur Saud garnered 367 votes. Naryan Sharma has been elected as the Secretary while Sangam Devkota as the Treasurer including eight other members. Members include Madan Bhandari, Deepak Khatiwada, Ujwol Neupane, Janak Shahi, Dinesh Bajgain, Shyam BK, Sujata Dhakal and Urbar Singh.
All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) did not take part in the election in which a total of 276 students cast their votes. RSS
