Three Star skipper Surendra Tamang broke the deadlock in the fourth minute of the added time after the regular time ended in a 2-2 draw. Tamang hit a powerful shot from about 35 yard against the helpless goalie Binod Dangol to take his team near to the title in the four-team contest organized to raise funds for the treatment of ex-national volleyball player Dinesh Baniya who is in critical condition and needs kidney transplantation as both of his kidneys are not working.
Earlier, Three Star took the lead in 14th minute through Santosh Sahukhala and Anil Ojha doubled the advantage in the 21st minute before he got marching orders from referee Lawa Khatri in the injury time of the first half after being slapped by two yellow cards. Earlier, he was shown yellow card in the 43rd minute.
NRT dominated the match after the first half but they could not score against the 10-men opponent. Bal Gopal Sahukhala netted the first goal for the team in the 58th minute and Rohit Chand scored an equalizer in the 84th minute. Ranjit Shrestha of the NRT was adjudged man-of-the-match.
