Talks held to improve relations: Dahal

KATHMANDU, April 22: Chairperson of the Unified CPN (Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal has held talks with visiting Indian Minister for External Affairs, SM Krishna,on Friday.



On the occasion, Chairperson apprised on Indian Minister Krishna about his party’s views to conclude the ongoing peace process and constitution making.[break]



‘Matters related to Nepal India relations, bilateral interests and mutual cooperation were discussed openly’, Dahal informed.



Serious discussion took place to move ahead by consolidating bilateral agreement, he further added.



He put forward his view that there was no alternative to make strides by developing mutual understanding in the new context.



‘Serious attention was drawn on the interest and concern of both the sides’, Dahal said referring the response he gave to the query by Indian Minister Krishna regarding anti-Indian activities in Nepal.



While talking to journalists Chairperson Dahal said the Indian Minister raised query on economic and security issues and he also drew his attention on the problems from Indian agencies including media for the last two years.



Also present in an hour-long talk was Deputy Prime Minister and minister for Information and Communication Krishna Bahadur Mahara.
