KATHMANDU, July 26: The talks between the government and the representatives of the Dr KC have come near to consensus on Thursday.
The meeting is taking place at the prime minister’s residence in Baluwatar. The meeting is heading toward positive direction as Prime Minister Oli himself is taking the initiative in sorting out the issue as it hit a snag in the negotiation efforts yesterday.
Dr Abhishek Singh, advocate Surendra Bhandari and Om Prakash Aryal are taking part in the meeting on behalf of Dr KC.
Medical students staged demonstration at TU Teaching hospital this morning to pile pressure on the government to immediately fulfill the demands of agitating Dr KC.
Dr Govinda KC has been on a fast-unto-death demanding reforms in the medical sector for the last 27 days. This is his 15th hunger strike.
