Takshashila, in their debut appearance in the tournament, defeated Birendra Sainik 2-0 at the Madhyapur Youth Association (MYA) ground, Sano Thimi, Bhaktapur.[break]
Takshashila scored both the goals after the interval in the competitive final. Man-of-the-match Heman Gurung put Takshashila ahead in the 55th minute with a powerful strike from outside the box and Anil Gurung doubled the lead in the 75th minute to ensure the team´s victory.
Birendra Sainik kept Takshashila under pressure in the first half and created frequent chances, but Brijesh Singh who was adjudged the best keeper of the tournament, denied the opponents with his heroic saves. Takshashila came up with an aggressive show after taking the lead and piled up the pressure thereafter.

Bivek Pratap Panta of the runners-up won the best defender award, while the best midfielder and striker awards went to Heman Gurung of the winners and Narayan Shrestha of Bhaktapur English School respectively. Saroj Rana Magar of Shramik Shanti took home the highest scorer award for his seven goals in the tournament.
The winners and the runners-up bagged a purse of Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively along with trophies, medals and certificates. The tournament was organized by Madhyapur Youth Association and sponsored by Pepsi.
