Surya Nepal golf tour begins Wednesday

KATHMANDU, April 13: Surya Nepal golf tour for 2009-10 season will tee off on April 15. According to the Nepal Professional Golfers´ Association (NPGA), Surya Nepal has confirmed its sponsorship for the tour. [break]



NPGA is set to organize 10 events including the country’s biggest golfing event -- Surya Nepal Masters. The event will begin on April 21. The tour will end in February 2010.



Shiva Ram Shrestha (with a total earning of Rs 500,000) ended the previous season as No 1 while Deepak Thapa Magar (with a total earning of Rs 260,000) finished second.
