While red is the color that holds special significance on the day and you might be tempted to wear elaborate saris as you continue with the celebrations – all the dancing and singing besides the pujas and visiting temples – it might not be practical to wear heavy saris all day long.

Necklaces

Outfits are never complete until the final touches like accessories are added. Statement necklaces have the ability to update and make an ordinary outfit look fabulous. Necklaces can be worn for any occasion and it can do wonders if you want to add vigor to your personality. Potey (glass bead) has been used as an accessory by married women. But besides the simple single-beaded Potey, you can find multilayered and beaded necklaces which you can wear that goes well with modern outfits like jeans and gives you a whole different look.

Shoes

Your style quotient is never complete until you put on your perfect pair of shoes. Since shoes can add glamour to any outfit, it is imperative that you choose not only the right one but something that is comfortable as well. Nepali brides wear red flat shoes known as chatti which is a tradition that still continues. But besides the brides, the shoes are worn in many cultural occasions. Though flat ones are common, there are many studded ones that come with high soles as well. You can even wear it with jeans or dresses so that you can look traditional as well as stylish.

Clutch

Bags are a must-have item in any girl’s wardrobe but it is not always pragmatic to carry it around; which is why clutches can come handy. For a day out, nothing stores your essentials in a more stylish way than clutches. A red clutch is a must-have when you’re in a festive mood like Teej, especially when you head out and indulge into dancing and singing. Even if you are wearing a plain outfit, a sleek and stylish red clutch like this can boost your whole appearance. The small size of clutch purses permits you to downsize to the most important items for your day out—such as your ID, cash and credit cards. Moreover, it will come very handy when you need to store your makeup and compact mirrors.

Styling hair thread

Though the styling thread is found mostly in red color, it is available in plenty of colors like green, blue, yellow and purple these days. There are various designs, both simple as well as elaborate ones so that you can choose according to your personality. So this Teej, bring back the old trend not only to enhance your hair but to look traditional even if you are wearing jeans or kurti.

Bangles

Glass bangles are synonym to married women but even unmarried ones adorn it and wear it as a much-loved accessory. Besides the traditional glass bangles, you can wear different variety of both chunky as well as slim bangles as well. The simplest way to style bold-colored bangles is to pair it with a small, dainty one so that you can balance them and create an interesting look.
