The students claimed that traffic police personnel intercepted a bus carrying students of the campus who were returning from picnic, misbehaved with them and took the vehicle under control for a while.
Agitating students have been demanding that traffic police should publicly apologise and warned that the protest would continue if their demand was not fulfilled.
However, the district police refuting the students´ allegation said that the bus was stopped because the students were travelling by sitting on the vehicle´s roof, which is illegal according to traffic rules.
