Students continue protests over budget

MAHENDRANAGAR, July 27: Protesting over the non allocation of a budget for a university in the far west, students continued their week-long agitation on Wednesday as well.



Mahendranagar remained tense due to clashes between the students and the police at various places and normal life has crippled due to a halt in transportation services. [break]



Government offices too remained closed due to the ongoing protest.



The students have been protesting against the government´s decision to freeze the 2067/68 budget of Rs. 100 million allocated for a university in the far western region.
