KATHMANDU, May 19: A powerful earthquake rattled various parts of the country including Kathmandu Valley early morning Wednesday.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring & Research Centre, the earthquake measuring 5.8 Richter Scale rattled parts of western and central Nepal at 5:42 am. The earthquake had its epicenter in Bhulbhule area of Lamjung district.
Strong tremors were felt in most parts of western and central Nepal including Kathmandu Valley. Most people in Kathmandu had briefly walked out of their home as they felt the tremor. No casualties have been reported yet, according to police.
