Cadres of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum, Tarai Madhes Democratic Party and Sadbhawana Party have obstructed traffic and closed down market from early Sunday morning.
The strike has disrupted transportation services and closed down industries and educational institutions.
Meanwhile, the situation remained tense in Janakpur after the students affiliated with sister organization of Madhesi parties forced closure of market and transport in the city.
In a clash with police, six were injured and five were arrested.
Similarly, market and highway at Siraha and Saptari have been closed.
According to RSS, vehicles, factories and academic institutions have remained closed from early morning in Biratnagar.
Banda organizers have vandalized a van (Ba 1 Cha 8225) in Jatuwa along the Biratnagar Jogbani road section. Driver, Matrika Subedi, of the van was injured in the accident, police said.
