Strike affects life in capital city

KATHMANDU, Aug 23: Life in the capital city has been affected today due to a general shutdown imposed by the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN).NEFIN enforced the strike demanding the delineation of the federal states based on identity, formation of the Janajati commission in the new constitution and putting forth other demands.

Meanwhile, Nepali Police said that 18 strike enforces were arrested from the capital city this morning. Of them, 15 were held from Balaju. Similarly, police held the NEFIN activists from Chabahil and Talsikhel as well. RSS
