‘Step of parties ignoring SC against parliamentary system’

CHITWAN, June 21: CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidya has said that the act of political parties going against the Supreme Court is against parliamentary system.

Speaking at a news conference organised by District Committee of Revolutionary Journalists Federation, Chitwan here today Chairman Baidya blamed that the political parties signed 16-point agreement against the Interim Constitution. He further said that the 16-point pact has raised question regarding unification going to be held with the UCPN (Maoist).


Chair Baidya said, "This Constituent Assembly (CA) will not bring people's constitution. There is no alternative to people to launch street agitation."

Stating that the government failed in relief and reconstruction task after quake, he said reconstruction task should be carried out by forming all-party political mechanism from central to village level.

Chairman Baidya arrived here in course of taking the decision of party's central committee to district level and collecting suggestion in this regard. RSS
