POKHARA, July 22: Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang said the political parties should stay together since the country has still miles to go in concluding the ongoing peace process.

Launching the first edition of United National daily newspaper in Pokhara on Friday, he the new constitution cannot be promulgated unless peace process makes the leap.[break]

Inter-party disputes have sent a negative message as people fear that peace process and constitution drafting may collapse because of the parties, he said.

There is no alternative than to resolving the inter-party disputes at the earliest and concentrating on the main agendas, he said.

Saying that the five-point agreement that led to the CA’s extension by three months should be implemented, he reiterated that the integrated draft of the new constitution has to be made public within the extended period of the CA.
