KATHMANDU, June 28: The construction of the tunnel for the Melamchi Drinking Water Project halted after the 25 April earthquake has resumed recently.

The Melamchi Drinking Water Development Committee resumed the tunnel construction after the labours gone to their homes have returned to the site.

The Committee had been prodding the Italian Company Cooperativa Muratori Cementisti (CMC) Di Ravenna to continue construction so as to accelerate the project.Currently, the tunnel construction is being carried at different three locations between Sundarijal to Gyalthum.

However, the construction pace is slow, said the locals. RSS
