SPP will not move forward: Foreign Minister Khadka

KATHMANDU, June 17: Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka has said that Nepal will not move forward with the US State Partnership Program (SPP). During the discussion of the International Relations Committee of the House of Representatives, Minister Khadka said that the SPP would not be taken forward.

KATHMANDU, June 17: Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka has said that Nepal will not move forward with the US State Partnership Program (SPP). During the discussion of the International Relations Committee of the House of Representatives, Minister Khadka said that the SPP would not be taken forward.


He said, “The official view of the government regarding SPP has already been public. Even our Prime Minister has said that Nepal will not sign any such agreement.”

Foreign Minister Khadka further said, "SPP is not in the national interest. Even our international commitment says that the state partnership program will not be implemented."
