Sports Minister Shrestha meets cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane at TU cricket ground (In Pictures)

KATHMANDU, May 30: Minister for Youth and Sports, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, has inspected the Tribhuvan University (TU) Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

On Thursday morning, he visited the ground to assess its condition, the status of the ongoing construction, and the overall situation.

Accompanying him were the member secretary of the National Sports Council, Tanka Lal Ghising, and secretary of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), Paras Khadka.

During his visit, Minister Shrestha met cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane on the field. In their brief meeting, Minister Shrestha encouraged Lamichhane to remain hopeful about participating in the Cricket World Cup in America and offered his direct support if needed.

Minister Shrestha assured that efforts are being made to secure the necessary visas for Lamichhane to take part in the World Cup cricket.
