Three Star conceded two goals in the first half and another goal in the other half. The winners and the runners up bagged a purse of IRs 100,000 and IRs 50,000 respectively. Kiran Chemjong of Three Star won the best goalkeeper award.
In the semifinal, Chejong had saved three penalties against Assam as the winner was decided in a tie breaker.
Bauddha clinch sitorio title
Bauddha Dojo on Wednesday clinched the title of the 10th Valley-wide Sitorio Karate Tournament with three gold, five silver and three bronze medals. Naraharipur Dojo finished second with two gold, silver and bronze medals each in the tournament organized by Bishalnagar Branch Dojo of Nepal Sitorio Karate Association. Bijay Lama of Bauddha in men´s section and Nisha Bhusal of Manakamana in women´s section took the best player awards. Lama had won gold in 45 kg and Bhusal in 35 kg category. Assistant Minister for Youth and Sports Chanda Chaudhary handed over the prizes to the winners.
Balambu win team title
Balambu Wushu Quan on Wednesday took the team championship title of the Second Nationwide Open Wushu Championship. Balambu took home seven gold medals. Sushmita Tamang of Bhaktapur Wushu Quan and Sunny Shrestha of International Peace Academy bagged the best female and male player awards under thaulo in the event organized by Pashupati Wushu Kailash Quan. Under sansau, Ramita Tamang of the hosts and Umesh Maharjan of Harisiddhi Wushu Quan were adjudged the best female and male player, respectively. The championship was organized at the covered hall of Dasharath Stadium.
