Army, APF, Deep Jyoti triumph in volleyball
KATHMANDU, Jan 18: Nepal Army, APF and Deep Jyoti won their respective matches on Monday in the Fourth Gongabu Deep Jyoti Cup Men´s Volleyball Tournament being held at New Bus Park.
Nepal Army defeated Darshan Transport, Pokhara 25-12, 25-17, 25-22 in straight sets. APF downed Jawalakhel 25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 25-13.
Similarly, Deep Jyoti had a hard fought 25-23, 25-27,23-25,25-23, 15-9 win over G for Sports Club.
Nepal win silver in Int´l Soft Tennis
KATHMANDU, Jan 18: Nepal won a silver each in men´s singles and women´s doubles in the First International Junior Soft Tennis Tournament held at Yokkaichi, Japan.
According to Nepal Soft tennis Association, Deepak Pariyar won in the U-15 category and the pair of Rabina Basnet and Kripa Sharma won in the women´s U-18 category.
They lost in the semifinals in both the categories.
