Duwal scored 5.5 points after the completion of the seventh round. Prajwal Rajopadhyay finished third. Rajopadhyay remained ahead of Umesh Sainju with progressive points as they both had five points after the completion of the seventh round.
NPCA to award Asiad medalists
Nepal Players and Coach Association (NPCA) on Friday announced cash prizes to be awarded to players who will bag medals in the 16th Asian Games to be held in China from November 12-27.
Narendra Man Shrestha, chairman of the NPCA promised Rs 100,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 for gold, silver and bronze medalists respectively during a press meet at the National Sports Council. He also said the medal winners will get the association´s membership. Coaches of the respective wining games will also receive cash prizes.
“The reward will be as encouraging for coaches as for the medalists,” Shrestha said. Medalists will receive the prizes within a month after their return.
