KATHMANDU, Dec 28: The weather has turned cloudy throughout the country today.
Due to the partial influence of the westerly wind as well as the westerly low pressure system in the country, the weather has become cloudy in all parts of the country including Kathmandu Valley.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there will be moderate rainfall in some places in the afternoon.

Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari said the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki and Bagmati provinces.
According to him, the cloudy weather started from western Nepal last evening and spread to most parts of the country today.
Light rainfall is taking place at a few places in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, according to a bulletin issued by the MFD this morning. Light snowfall is taking place at a few places of the high hilly and mountainous region of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.
Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places of Sudurpaschim, Karnali and Koshi provinces and light rainfall at a few places in the rest of the provinces for the next 24 hours.
There will be light to moderate snowfall at a few places of the Sudurpaschim, Karnali and Koshi provinces and at one or two places of Gandaki and Bagmati provinces.
There is also a chance of foggy weather at a few places in Terai and Kathmandu valley in the morning.
The MFD has urged the general public to take necessary precautions in view of the changes in weather conditions.
