DAMAULI, May 12: A person was killed and eight passengers injured when a night bus overturned on Thursday night near the Buldi's bridge at Byas Municipality – 2, Tanahun. 



The deceased has been identified as bus driver, Ram Hari Kafle, 35, of Mahottari district, said District Police Office, Tanahun. 



Kafle, who sustained fatal injuries, was referred to Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara from the Ratnahari Hospital in Damauli. He succumbed at 11 pm last night, police said. 



Chiring Ghale, 30, of Shukla Gandaki Municipality – 4, who was also critically injured in the accident, has been referred to the Manipal Hospital while other passengers are receiving treatment at the Ratnahari Hospital and are reported to be out of danger. 



The ill-fated bus (Ba 3 Kha 9626) en route to Kathmandu from Beni, Myagdi swerved out of control in high speed and crashed on a wall at the left side of the road before turning turtle. RSS
