KATHMANDU, Jan 1: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has said that a special general convention of the party will be held after the upcoming election. Giving a brief response to the media persons while leaving for the party's general convention venue, Kamaladi on Friday, Chairman Dahal said that a special general convention was needed after the election to transform the organization and develop its ideology.

Stating that the current general convention will not complete everything, he said that it is the beginning of ideological development. He said that the idea would be further developed by holding a special session after the election.

He said that the eighth national convention was moving forward in a civilized and grand manner. He said his political report was passed and the statute would be passed on Saturday and the central committee would also be elected.
