Special Committee reviews progress

KATHMANDU, July 17: The Special Committee on Supervision, Integration and Rehabilitation of the Maoist Combatants on Sunday reviewed the activities of the Maoist combatants living in various cantonments and satellite camps in the country.



The meeting of the Committee chaired by its Chairperson Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal was apprised of the reporting made by the monitors mobilized in the seven cantonments and 22 satellite camps.[break]



Talking to media persons following the meeting, Committee member and UCPN (Maoist) leader Barshaman Pun said his party was giving high priority to the army integration process to complete the peace process and release the integrated draft of the Constitution before August 31.



The Special Committee shall meet again on July 19, Tuesday.
