KATHMANDU, Dec 25: Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar has summoned a meeting of seven political parties including the major three for Monday in a bid to forge a consensus on lifting the obstruction at parliament.
The meeting has been called for 3 pm tomorrow.
Opposition lawmakers have been obstructing parliament meeting demanding with the government to withdraw the constitution amendment bill.
Earlier, the Speaker had summoned a meeting of the three major political parties. But, the meeting had failed to reach a conclusion.
The meeting of the seven political parties representing parliament was called in another attempt for accord, Press Advisor to the Speaker, Babin Sharma told Republica Online.
“Parties with more than 10 lawmakers have been summoned for the meeting,” he said.
