Speaker Sapkota directs to remove Yadav’s ‘non-parliamentary’ remarks against former PM Oli from record

KATHMANDU, August 13: The speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Agni Prasad Sapkota has directed to remove some ‘indecent’ and ‘non-parliamentary’ remarks made by the  CPN (Maoist Center) lawmaker Matrika Prasad Yadav in the HoR meeting held on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, August 13: The speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Agni Prasad Sapkota has directed to remove some ‘indecent’ and ‘non-parliamentary’ remarks made by the  CPN (Maoist Center) lawmaker Matrika Prasad Yadav in the HoR meeting held on Thursday.


During the HoR meeting on Friday, Speaker Sapkota maintained that Yadav’s remarks are against the Rule 21 (E) of the HoR and directed to remove those remarks from the record of parliament secretariat. The lawmakers belonging to the main opposition party, CPN-UML, had earlier expressed a strong exception to the remarks of lawmaker Yadav.

Lawmaker Yadav had made a remark that former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli was “mentally and physically unfit”.
