Speaker Sapkota calls for building self-reliant economy

KATHMANDU, April 11: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota has called on the private sector to focus on the development of an independent economy. Stating that many problems occur when the economy is dependent, he stressed the need for cooperation and collaboration between the government and the private sector.

KATHMANDU, April 11: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota has called on the private sector to focus on the development of an independent economy. Stating that many problems occur when the economy is dependent, he stressed the need for cooperation and collaboration between the government and the private sector.


Addressing a program organized in Kathmandu, Speaker Sapkota said that the private sector has all the knowledge, skills, talents and abilities and that the sector should play a role in overcoming the current economic crisis. He also pledged to make efforts to create an environment to improve investment in the country.

Furthermore, Sapkota emphasized the need for focusing on economic issues, and said that it was even more important now with the ongoing crisis. “We should not be distracted by short-term tactics,” he added. 


Speaker Sapkota also stressed the need for moving the country forward on the path of prosperity by utilizing the potential of the private sector.
