SINDHUPALCHOWK, July 9: The speaker for the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota arrived in the flood-hit region on Thursday afternoon.
He arrived at his home district via a helicopter to inspect the incident and loss incurred.
The speaker was trying to visit the impacted region at the earliest but he was unable to do so due to bad weather.
Last night, heavy rain triggered floods in the streams of Jambu of Bahrabise Municipality and Bulkute in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality. The flood swept away 33 houses and killed two people. Twenty people are still missing and six others have sustained severe injuries.
