Speaker Mahara committed to protecting human rights

BUTWAL, March 28: Speaker at the House of Representatives (HoR) Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said he was always positive to protect and promote human rights. 


Talking to a delegation of Human Rights and Peace Society on Thursday, Speaker Mahara reiterated his unwavering commitment to the human rights.

The delegation put forth the demand of taking concrete action to protect human rights and end impunity. 


Delegate Sarita Poudel shared that Speaker Mahara expressed his commitment to draw the attention of the parliament in such issues. 


Mahara further urged the society to draw the attention of Prime Minister and Ministers regarding the issues to draft the laws required for promotion of human rights.
