Speaker directs implementation of ‘cooling period’ removal investigation report

The Parliamentary Special Committee, formed to examine alleged tampering in the ‘Cooling Off Period’ provision of the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080 BS, had previously submitted its findings to Speaker Ghimire.

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Speaker of House of Representatives (HoR) Devraj Ghimire has instructed the implementation of the parliamentary probe report on the cooling-off period removal. 



The Parliamentary Special Committee, formed to examine alleged tampering in the ‘Cooling Off Period’ provision of the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080 BS, had previously submitted its findings to Speaker Ghimire.


Following suggestions from the chief whips of major parties, Speaker Ghimire on Friday directed the Secretary of the House of Representatives (HoR) to forward the report to all parliamentary party offices,  Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, and the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs (MoLJPA) for implementation.
