Spanish Speaker on a visit to Nepal

KATHMANDU, Oct 28: A 24-member delegation led by Spanish Speaker Blanca Martin Delgado arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday at the invitation of Bagmati Province Assembly Speaker Sanu Kumar Shrestha. Speaker Delgado was welcomed at the Tribhuvan International Airport by Speaker Shrestha, the Secretary of the Provincial Assembly and a high-ranking official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The delegation includes state ministers, mayors and business people. During its six-day visit to Nepal, the Spanish delegation will hold meetings with various dignitaries and observe various religious sites, said Krishna Hari Khadka, secretary of the province. According to him, the Spanish delegation will visit Patan Durbar area, Bhaktapur Durbar area, Swayambhunath, participate in the program organized in Lumbini and light lamps with monks in Boudhanath.

While in Nepal, the delegation will hold meetings with National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and another former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'. Similarly, she is scheduled to hold talks with Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka and Education Minister Devendra Poudel. The Spanish delegation will leave for Spain on November 2.
