Mahato claimed that the Muslim community had never used their vote for their own cause but would do so this time around. “Our party would stand for the cause of Muslims and we will ensure that their concerns are addressed through the new Constituent Assembly (CA),” he said.
He further accused the major parties of ignoring the concerns of the Muslim community. On a different note, Mahato said, “The selection of Muslim pilgrims to Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia through lucky draw was done out of ill intention. Muslim pilgrims have not been fairly treated by the Hajj committee.”
Party Secretary Mirza Arshad Beg has demanded formation of a permanent Muslim Commission to address the concerns of the Muslim community. “Madarsha education should be given the status of mainstream education system,” Beg added.
Beg further said that the government should introduce reservation schemes for the educational and economical uplift of the Muslim community.
Central Committee (CC) member of the party Upendra Mahato claimed that the central committee of their party is the most inclusive. “Our party would make sure that Muslims are represented in the new CA.”
