South Asia and China Trade Fair from Thursday

KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Nepal-China Executives Council (NCEC) is organizing 6th South Asia and China Trade Fair from September 15 to 19 at Exhibition Hall, Kathmandu with a view to promote Nepal´s trade with its South Asian neighbors and China.



The event, which is being held every years since 2005, also aims to disseminate information on innovative products and services in the region.[break]



At a press meet on Tuesday, Rajendra Nakarmi, general secretary of NCEC, said the fair will have a total of 180 stalls from 150 companies South Asian countries and 15 companies from China. "The fair will see participation of 30 companies from Pakistan and 10 companies from India," he added.



Nakarmi said the fair would feature a wide variety of products and services including automobile, furniture, home appliances, electronic goods, mobile phones, machinery and medical equipment, among others.



Around 100,000 visitors are expected to visit the five-day event.
