BAITADI, July 29: A son killed his own father with an axe in Baitadi this morning. The 68-year-old Antaram Joshi of Shera, Dilashaini Rural Municipality-5 was killed by his own son. 

Joshi's son, 22-year-old Lokraj, killed him with an axe at 6 AM. Yagyaraj Bhatta, the Ward President of Dilashaini Rural Municipality-5 and Spokesman of the Rural Municipality, informed that Antaram, who was cleaning the house in the morning, was hit with an axe by his son.

He said, “Lokraj, who is not in a good mental state, struck his father with an axe. Antram died on the spot after suffering a head injury.” According to Baitadi Police, Lokraj has been taken into custody. A team led by Police Inspector Kamal Chaudhary from Area Police Office Patan has reached the spot to conduct further investigation.
