JHAPA, Jan 23: A man has died after being beaten by his own son in Damak Municipality in the district.

According to Area Police Office, Damak, the deceased has been identified as Rajan Neupane of Damak Municipality-1, Falgunanda Chowk. 

Bishal Neupane assaulted his 58-year-old father Rajan in a scuffle that ensured over a minor dispute.

Critically injured Rajan died while being rushed to Biratnagar Neuro Hospital, said DSP Syamal Subba.

Police have started investigation into the case after taking Bishal into custody.
