Altogether 24 teams including four media houses, four corporate houses, 15 banks and Indian Embassy are scheduled to contest in the six-day tournament, according to Greesh Bindra, the general manager of Soltee Crowne Plaza.
The participating teams are divided into eight groups with three teams each in the first round. Top two team from each group after round-robin league advance to the Super League.
In the Super League, 16 teams will be divided into four groups with winner from each groups qualifying for the semifinal.
The organizers have planned a three-over cricket match between politicians and other public figures including Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Jhalanath Khanal, Ram Chandra Poudel, Nepal FM"s Bishnu Hari Dhakal and Image Channel´s RK Manandhar.
Bindra is also set to lead the other team comprising of industrialist Kush kumar Joshi, Kantipur Publications´ Kailash Sirohiya, Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar and Cricket Association of Nepal president Binay Raj Pandey.
