The one-day amateur competition will be played with “Modified Bogey Competition” format, which will be counted on plus (+) and minus (-) basis, rather than points, in stable ford format.
Talking to myrepublica.com, Soaltee Crowne Plaza General Manager Greesh Bindra said, “The main objective of the tournament is to make foundation of big golf tournament in Nepal.” “If things goes as planned, Soaltee Crowne Plaza will organize Crowne Plaza Asia-Pacific Invitational Golf in Nepal which will feature more than 100 golfers of Asia-Pacific circuit.” Crowne Plaza Asia-Pacific Invitational Golf is organized in different venues every year, so if this tournament is held in Nepal, it will bring Nepal into Asian golfing map.
Different titles to be won in the competition are the Overall winner, Men´s winner, Women´s winner, Senior winner, Most birdies, Closest to the pin on the second shot, Longest Drive, Closest to the pin, Wooden Spoon, Best gross, best score front nine and Best score back nine.
Winners of Overall, Men´s, Women´s and Senior categories will get trophies and win free trip air tickets plus stay in hotels in Asian and South Asian cities.
