KATHMANDU, Jan 3: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted the possibility of light snowfall in select locations of the high hilly and mountainous areas within the provinces of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki today. This forecast comes as Nepal experiences the partial influence of westerly winds.

As of 6 AM today, the MFD reported generally clear weather in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, with most of the Terai regions experiencing fog. This afternoon, the hilly areas in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are expected to have generally clear weather, while there is a chance of light snowfall at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of these provinces.

The weather is expected to be generally clear in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, with partly cloudy conditions in other provinces tonight. There is a possibility of light snowfall in certain high hilly and mountainous areas within Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Partially cloudy weather is anticipated in the hilly areas, while the rest of the country will experience generally clear weather tomorrow afternoon. There is a possibility of light snowfall at a few places in the high hills and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

The hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces are likely to have generally clear weather, with the possibility of light snowfall in few high hilly and mountainous areas within these provinces tomorrow night.

Similarly, on Friday afternoon, the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces are expected to experience generally clear weather, with the potential for light snowfall in certain high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

On Friday night , the weather will be generally clear in the hilly parts of the country, while other regions will be partly cloudy. There is a chance of light snowfall in certain high hilly and mountainous areas within Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

MFD officials advise the public to take necessary precautions to mitigate the impact of cold temperatures resulting from potential light snowfall in specific high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as the lowland areas affected by fog.
