Snowfall disrupts vehicular movement on Tribhuvan Highway

MAKWANPUR, Feb 4: Heavy snowfall taking place at Simbhanjyang and Aghor areas of Tribhuvan Highway since last night has obstructed vehicular movement from 2AM Friday, the Area Police Office, Palung, said.

Mayor of Thaha Municipality Labsher Bista said it was difficult to clear the snow as the areas witnessed heavy snowfall coupled with rain. The vehicles heading to Kathmandu from Hetauda are stranded in the Aghor area of Tribhuvan Highway.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office, Makawanpur, Jayashwor Rimal said preparations are on to resume transportation by this afternoon if the weather improves.
