KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Raj Kishore Yadav-led Madhesi People´s Right Forum-Republican (MPRF-R), Sharat Singh Bhandari-led National Madhesh Socialist Party, Anil Jha-led Federal Sadbhavana Party, and Mahendra Raya Yadav-led Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party-Nepal have reached an understanding to jointly contest the forthcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) poll.

At a time when the major four Madhesi parties were forging seat adjustments, these four small Madhesi parties also struck a deal on electoral adjustment.

Speaking to Republica, MPRF-R Chairman Raj Kishore Yadav said that they have forged electoral alliance on Friday. "Within two days we will form a taskforce," said Yadav, maintaining that three leaders from each party would be represented in the taskforce. [break]

Asserting that it was unjust to call them fringe parties, Yadav said, "We will prove our existence by reaching among the voters and the result of the poll will show who the major parties are and who the fringe ones are." He claimed that the electoral adjustment would pave the way to get victory over majority of seats.

"Within a couple of weeks, we will decide about seat adjustment," said Yadav, adding, "We are taking initiative to bring other like-minded parties under our electoral alliance." He ruled out the possibility of forging any adjustment with non-Madhesi parties.
