SLC supplementary exam begins

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: The Supplementary School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination has started at 234 exam centers throughout the country Sunday.



Candidates who failed in two subjects in the SLC examinations are appearing in the supplementary SLC exams. [break]



English test is being administered under the SLC supplementary examination on Sunday. According to the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Bhaktapur, 55,118 candidates are taking the SLC supplementary exam in English.



A total of 103,711 candidates are appearing in the SLC supplementary exams this year. The largest number of candidates is appearing in the English test followed by 46,620 candidates in Mathematics test and 27,000 candidates in Science test.



The SLC supplementary examinations that began today will conclude on August 22.



The Office of the Controller of Examinations said the largest number of candidates is appearing from Kailali district. It said 3,976 candidates are taking the SLC supplementary exams from Kailali district and the least number from Mustang. Only 15 candidates are appearing from Mustang district.
