Slapping not good incident: Karima

KATHMANDU, Nov 17: State Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives Karima Begum on Tuesday said she has realized that slapping the Chief District Officer of Parsa Durga Prasad Bhandari in a fit of anger was “not a good incident”.



Her statement comes amidst warnings of more protests from civil servants demanding she be punished for her act. Civil servants´ organizations have demanded that Begum be sacked and booked for her act.



Begum slapped Bhandari for allegedly sending an old vehicle to pick her up from the Simara Airport on November 10.



In the statement, Begum accused the CDO of “wrong and irresponsible behavior with people, political personalities, leaders and especially ministers of Madhesi origin”. “The height of that was his misconduct with me on November 10,” she claimed.
