KATHMANDU, May 4: Six individuals who were arrested for allegedly engaging in undesirable activities during a protest at Tinkune, Kathmandu, on March 28 are currently taking their XII exams while being under police custody.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Apil Raj Bohara of the Kathmandu District Police Range said that the six, including 19-year-old Dinesh Mahato, are participating in the exam.

Mahato, who was studying at Liverpool in Baneshwor, was arrested on March 28 for allegedly stealing cigarettes and alcohol from Bhat-Bhateni during a protest. Police said that even the prisoners under the jurisdiction of the police were brought to the Bhadrakali premises to participate in the exam.
The individuals taking the exam include Dinesh Mahato from Siraha, Dawa Sherpa from Sindhupalchok, Saugat Kumar BK from Syangja, Saroj Thapa from Dhading, Simon Ghale from Nuwakot, and Aman Sakin, an Indian national.
