GULMI, March 21: Six persons have been injured in lightning strikes that occurred at various places in the district.
Goma Khadka, 32, Niru Khadka, 28, and Bishnu Khadka, 29, from Darling of Malika Rural Municipality were injured in a lightning strike at 2:30 PM on Friday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Ganga Bahadur Saru, said the injured were sent to District Hospital, Tamghas, after receiving initial treatment at a local health facility.
The thunderbolt also killed some goats belonging to locals Bishnu Khadka and Bali BK. A security team led by Inspector Lakhan Lal Chaudhari reached the incident site after receiving information about the lightning strike.
Similarly, Narayan Thapa, 64, and his two granddaughters (both under six) from Hwangdi of Malika Rural Municipality-3 were injured in another lightning strike. However, they returned home after receiving primary treatment at a health centre.
A goat was also killed in the incident, police said. Further investigation into the incidents is underway.
